I was looking up used pedals in my area and found someone selling a ts-9 tubescreamer for $60. I'm thinking of buying it. I've wanted a tubescreamer for my 5150 because I've read that it acts as a great boost and help improve the tone by tightening the low end a bit. However, I'm pretty sure the people who said this were talking about the ts-808. Would the TS-9 be able to boost/tighten the low end as I've heard? Or would it be worth it to cough up the extra money and go for the 808? Thanks in advance

i had a ts9 and i ended up trading it away because it was useless with my 5150. you'd be better off with an EQ pedal or something.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.
