I was looking up used pedals in my area and found someone selling a ts-9 tubescreamer for $60. I'm thinking of buying it. I've wanted a tubescreamer for my 5150 because I've read that it acts as a great boost and help improve the tone by tightening the low end a bit. However, I'm pretty sure the people who said this were talking about the ts-808. Would the TS-9 be able to boost/tighten the low end as I've heard? Or would it be worth it to cough up the extra money and go for the 808? Thanks in advance
i had a ts9 and i ended up trading it away because it was useless with my 5150. you'd be better off with an EQ pedal or something.
A ts9 is a good pedal bro....you should get it...60 is a good deal
Was never a fan of the TS9, never liked the fact it didnt have enough level on tap to do much nor the way it colored my tone. But some love it
I think I'm just going to go for it, worst case scenario it shouldn't be do hard to sell it and get my money back haha. thanks guys
