So I'm buying a new guitar tomorrow but of course guitar center likes to put 9's on all their guitars. I'm planning on switching the 9's out for ernie ball power slinky (11-48 I believe). So the question is will I need to adjust the truss rod because of the extra tension on the neck?

you might. you wont know until you do it.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

if you're getting buzzing, or feel that you cant get the action low enough without buzz that transmits thru the amp. then post back here.

I usually detune, but this guitar has locking tuners, so it kinda defeats the purpose of having them if i detune.

I am certain it will put more tension on the neck how much I don't know, But it will prolly take a day or 2 before you notice any bowing.
