I recorded a cover of "The Philosopher" by Death. There are some mistakes, some timing issues, volume levels need to be adjusted, but overall I'm actually happy with it (for the moment). I added my own twist to it with some lead fills (some of it just ended up being noodling, but whatever). Anyone dare me to do vocals?

Feel free to offer constructive criticism or rip me a new asshole, I'm not claiming it was perfect nor do I care that it wasn't. In the future I plan to improve it, but as of this moment I'm glad I finally recorded something semi-worthwhile.

The song is in my profile.

Musically it is very good, pretty much nothing to crit. Your rhythm tone sounds a bit flat to my years, I bet it's a real beast when listened to live, but sounds weak recorded. Experiment with mic positions is my guess, and since you have a usb interface, why not try a software VST for the guitar ? And my advice on working with EZDrummer: add a touch of reverb and compressor to the track, it usually makes for a very pleasing outcome

Bleh. Crit my Pestilence LOT cover @profile ?
