Does anyone else refuse to smoke around their guitar? *cigs*
I don't do it because i don't want to stain it with the smoke or tar
i guess pot isnt as much of a threat for messing it up as much as cigs due to the chemicals

Doesn't bother me, I'll put those burn marks in my headstock if I want to.
I will stand by all this drinking if it helps me through these days,
It takes a long time just to get this all straight.

Yeah I always make sure it's back in the hard case so it doesn't inherit the smell of smoke.

What's your point? That he can afford to wreck his hundreds of guitars with his smoking?

My guitar does not have lungs.

Also, I do not smoke.

No? Then get a real guitar.

I don't smoke.
Yes, I use a Squier bass.

...But he has money.

If I put a burn mark in my guitar it's there until I actually need a new one.

If that happens just scrape some paint off then sell it as a "road worn" for like 4 times as much money xD.

Interesting.. Some people are willing to ruin their health from smoking but not the health of a block of wood with strings on it .. :|

I think you'd have to be going pretty damn hard on the cigarettes, and for a long time, to even slightly damage the aesthetics... and even then it would probably just add a cool vintage look
#24
No? Then get a real guitar.

Says the person who plays a squier bass...

just kidding

I don't think I would smoke around my electric at least. My old beater acoustic yes, but not my other ones.
I can honestly say I have really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

I don't always post on UG, but when I do, I post in the Pit. Stay thirsty my friends.

But if we all die because of smoking, who will make music? trhink about it...

Well, but naturally worn out guitars can be beautiful

It's not like smoke will do that much harm to them anyway.

No, I don't want to damage the looks of my guitar but chose to destroy my body with smoking.
Edit: Damn, beaten to it
#33
I don't smoke, but I burn a lot of incense usually in my room, so I guess they are exposed to smoke.

I don't think you grasped the concept of once music is made it is around for ever, even if we die, no one will need to make music cause it will already exist.

IE, look at Hendrix.
