Is it safe (for the amp and speaker(s)) to run a keyboard into a modeling guitar amp, such as a Peavey Vypyr or a Line 6 Axsys or Flextone? If not, what are some decent budget keyboard amps? I'd prefer to have one with effects, or at least a leslie simulator. It's for gigging in a classic rock/blues band. Thanks!

See? Now we're even!

Also, keyboards typically deliver line level, which is generally too much for a guitar amp.

Start with volume very low, on the keys, and go up.

I know that usually you send it through a bass amp, but I've heard that amps that have auxiliary jacks usually have speakers designed to handle it. I'm just trying to save myself a couple hundred by using my Line6 Axsys (which has devoted Auxiliary input, eq, and gate).
