New Wilkes-Barre Band. New York Hardcore with members of Freeze Up and This Fight. Kind of sounds like Bad Seed mixed with Cold World (minus the hip-hop stuff)
And Uriah on vox rules.

i think almost a skater had mentioned something about this band a couple weeks ago.
this is not bad. sounds exactly like bad seed with a not as good vocalist.
#4
their from the same town as bad seed. after listening to it through a few times i think its probably just as good as bad seed, if not possibly better.(i'll probably get flamed for that but whatever)

lol @ bad seed with "not as good vocalist" dude really? i mean i know its your opinion and i think its awesome that you took time to actually listen to the songs but come on dude. i sound nothing like shane at all, and as far as the actual songs go you can tell we share the same influences but neither band sounds alike. i have a different voice than shanes (his voice ****ing rules) but to just say "bad seed with a worse vocalist" is retarded no offense

to everyone else, thank you thank you thank you. means alot to us, no joke
#7
with that being said, i realize that it came out wrong
i enjoy bad seed's vocalist better, i can't say that he IS better
i apologize if i offended you

i think your band is incredibly generic, but if it works for you thats cool. I just wish there were more bands around who werent a mash up of the same style PA bands or bands that actually played hardcore for the music rather than just to "be in a hardcore band"

are you kidding me dawg? what does "just to be in a hardcore band" even mean?
#11
it means instead of being in a band to be a musician and write music, lots of people in hardcore will join a band to get involved with the scene, regardless of whether or not they are musicians, learn riffs from your favorites bands, change them around a little bit and call it music. i heard like 5 other bands riffs in your song when i listened to it. It happens all the time so its not a big deal but once in awhile i get tired of it. Im pretty sure the term "band" should still mean the members know a little bit about music.

in uriah's defense i'd say even if he wasn't in a band that dude still does a shit ton for the scene and books a lot of big bands through this area. if you actually knew who he was you probably would take back some of the stuff you said about him. Point is, he's a good dude that does a lot for our local hardcore scene, and i think DEP is awesome. They sounded amazing in sellersville two weeks ago. Honestly sounded tighter than i've ever seen bad seed to be honest

name five said riffs

oh and believe me dawg we know than a "little bit about music" haha. jesus, typical hater

i never said anything about him personally haha. i just said his band is generic, which if you really do know about music, you would agree. geez you even played a drop tuned have heart riff.

in hardcore nowadays it basically comes down to which band has the most friends and the most hype because they all sound the same.

let me also try to put it this way. if uriah and other band members were not important to the scene would this band get any recognition at all? The sad truth it probably not.

im not going to try and prove myself to you man. if you don't think your band writes generic music, then im sorry, but you aren't a musician and neither is anyone in your band. I can't specifically name bands that you ripped off but every riff is something i have heard multiple times before

i can vouch for their guitarist and drummer being talented musicians.

Uriah, you gotta admit DEP isn't doing anything new or unique whatsoever. that doesn't mean the music isnt good though.

Dead End Path + Foundation in a basement was ****ing awesome

**** the haters, i honestly think dead end path is better than bad seed. and they are all talented musicians from other good bands. I didn't even realize jamie from title fight was playing guitar til i saw them. hey so how come ned from tf plays bass for bs now instead of jamie? is that permanent?

i never said the band was bad. all im saying is they are generic and if they didn't have a bunch of members of bigger bands they would be over looked.

well last few times i've seen them ned played bass and jamie didn't play with them at all even though he was present, so i'm assuming what your saying is they've gone 5-piece now?

the only member i would say is really in a "bigger" band is jamie, and like i said, I was way into these tracks before I even knew he was in the band. i think that kinda says something

when you first listened to this band did you know any of the members in it? If you knew one of them, your opinion is immediately biased man. lol. i know how it is. i'll rep the bonus army harder than anyone and they are wicked generic but a bunch of awesome dudes. thats just how it is.

the only person I knew was in the band when they first started was Uriah. I wasn't familiar with him in being in other bands really, but I know he's a pretty nice guy, and was interested to hear what his voice sounded like. I was very pleased with it. this band is MOSH

Bad Seed is most def a 5 piece, jamie plays second guitar and ned plays bass but that band is on hiatus for right now.

as far as DEP goes, Jamie is going to fill in some shows with us and Saba (other bad seed guitar player) is going to fill in some shows for us

i feel like i've been giving pmeg a hard time, i DO appreciate that you actually took the time to listen to the songs but to say NONE of us are musicians at all is...i mean, come on man, thats just ridiculous. i, admittedly, am not a musician so you're right as far as that goes.

is handbanana aaron? or andy?
#29
oh and for the record, never said my band was highly original or anything like that. i do however have ALOT of fun doing it and to me thats the most important thing
#30
lol dude im the one giving you a hard time its what i do around here. but i don't think i ever said no one in your band was a musician. i just said that if any of you think you are doing something different than i would question your knowledge of what musicianship is. but you said you know you aren't doing anything new so thats fine. if anything else i said came off like that i didn't mean it to me. my original comment was directed more at the fact that i see a lot of bands coming out with the same members playing the same music which annoys me personally, and your band sparked a nerve for me. haha. im sure your band will turn heads, its just not something i really like to listen to at this point.
