Well yesterday at school after my guitar class, a few guys were playing some ramones and Blink-182. I was thinking to myself I should learn some of that on bass.

So I am wondering what would be fun pop/punk songs that almost anyone can play?

Look into Blink-182, Greenday, and maybe a bit of The Strokes; Greenday's older songs are pretty much all fun to play, Blink-182 is fun because on ones where the bassist sings, the basslines are easy enough that you can sing along, and I just mentioned The Strokes because I like the pre-chorus and chorus of Reptilia.

I play loads of Ramones and have a few Bass tabs on the site.
Probably the easiest song to learn by them would be Blitzkrieg Bop.
It has 4 notes and its not hard to get to learn the timings etc.

Other Ramones songs that are easy are:

Try some stuff like offspring and Sum 41 too.

Easy, but really nice to play.

Tri-Bit Don't care what anyone else says, learn "Dammit" by Blink-182, but not the bass part. The bass part is too easy, learn the guitar part and play it on the bass. It works, and you can show off to everyone and pretend to be good at the bass and look cool
