Firstly I know that these two pedals are very different, but which one do you think would be better for chuggy rhythms and then a flick to the bridge pup, a twist of the vol pot and a searing solo? Its mainly volume I want. I worry about the mid scoops... I am planning 2 get a Fender BJ and I have a strat. I will be using wah as well.

neither are made for "chugga" riffs. a metal muff would do that.

the CC has less of a scoop to it. but if you want a tight, chugging rhythm sound, then you're going to need something a little more focused than a fuzz. check out the distortion pedals from Dano, the CC Metal II (black) and the CC distortion (red).

the Dano is good, but in my opinions its not fuzzy enough to be a fuzz, its more of a gritty overdrive/distortion. How about the SD tweak fuzz? very versatile with the tweak knob.
