My amp is a Peavey deuce, MK1 1975, 120w rms , my guitar is a epiphone g-400 with SD '59 and SH-14 custom 5... I love the sound of it but it barely picks up pinch harmonics. But when i go through gearbox on PC i can hear pinch harmonics so I dont think that its my technique. Is there a cheap ($70 or less) way to fix this, be it pedal or pickup?

a compressor, booster or overdrive can help.

Try adding a bit more gain.

You do need a certain amount of gain to bring them out more easily.
Try an OD or distortion pedal.

I am at 10 on both channels. I have a digitech grunge pedal but that doesnt do anything but **** the sound.

I don't know what to tell ya, man. I can do pinch harmonics on acoustic.
Good luck!

Best OD/boost on the cheap would be a Digitech Bad Monkey (Digitech's version of the "tubescreamer" type pedals). I believe they are $50 new - you can find pretty good deals on the evilbay sometimes.

Same here.

While you do need a certain amount of drive/distortion to bring them to life, proper technique is the only real answer.

for the booster/OD, I'd suggest a Dano Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive. for a compressor, i'd Suggest the MXR Dyna Comp. the CC TOD is around $40 new and the Dyna Comp is around $70 new.
