To be perfectly blunt, I do not believe Marshall has an amp (new amps, that is) worth looking at for below $1500, for any purpose, but I haven't tried the new Class 5 or the new MG4 nor do I know the pricing on either so don't quote me on that.

Jhachey22 already covered most of the goods, but I'd throw in a Fender Super Champ XD.

EDIT: And yes, why Marshall, indeed?

tbh if you want classic marshall tone in a small tube box i'd recommend an orange tiny terror, or dual terror, or tiny terror combo...or a Laney VC15
Get off this damn forum and play your damn guitar.

i like the alexisonfire tone from the first album

ok.

Marshall Tube practice amps are decent BUT OVERPRICED. i suggest going for a modeler.

^Like that tone? That honestly sounds more Mesa than Marshall to me... but I don't see any of Marshalls low-power amps sounding anything like that.

really? i'm pretty sure i saw some old live vids and it was a marshall head with the logo removed. what kind of mesa do u think then?

If you want a practice amp, save money and do not buy a Marshall. If you want a gigging amp that you can play loud, and you like Marshall tone, buy a Marshall.
