I've had a set of D'Addario EXL170s for a while now, but when I bought them I saw that it said "long scale" I assumed that it would be the best option for my 35" scale Ibanez BTB200. It turns out the winding on the fourth string started to wane just before the nut (the fully wound section was a bit too short). There are no problems, so I decided to leave them on, but I've recently looked up D'Addario strings online and found that they also have "super long scale" strings. I've come to the conclusion that by "long scale" they mean about 34" and by "super long scale" they mean longer than 34". Is this a correct assumption?

Yes. 34" is standard/long scale and 35" is extra long. Not exactly sure about anything past that though.

Alright, thanks.
