I just purchased a fine looking Washburn MG74 ( Mercury series) and I love the way it plays.
Here's the thing, I don't really like the sound of the bridge humbucker, it lacks the gain I want. I'm planning on replacing it with a Seymour Duncan Distortion, it's in my Ibanez at the moment.
Looking at my Washburn it has 2 screws at one side of the pickup and 1 at the other end. However, the Duncan pickup only has one screw at each side.

Can I put the Seymour Duncan in my washburn, or wil the screws be all misplaced?

Thanx anyway!

i should imagine the screws would probably be misplaced. However, it's not such a big deal. It's just a case of drilling a hole for the height adjustment screw in the pickguard.

I think the screw's position would fall between the 2 screws on the side, so you might be able to drill a hole in between the 2 wholes to accommodate the screw.
