I have an MS-2 just lying around, and I'd like to do something fun with it, like gut my old PS1 and shove the amp in there. How do I do that? I've never done anything like that before. I can take pictures of the insides of the amp if anyone wants that.

....it's pretty straight forward..

open up the amp, and remove any necessary screws/ bolts/ nuts to take the circuit out.

gut the playstation. drill holes for the input and knobs in the playstation case, and cut a hole for the speaker(s?)

then re-mount it all in the new enclosure..

Problem: the front panel of the "head", with all the knobs and crap, is molded from the same piece of plastic as the rest of the amp. I could just detach the "head", but I'd need some way to cut through plastic about a .5-1 centimeter thick. My dad has a hacksaw, but I think it'd be a pretty delicate operation.

Why not build a Ruby or a Little Gem into the PlayStation?

That's an idea, but I have no experience with anything like that. Not even a soldering gun.

I dont own an ms-2 to know for sure, but I'm 99% sure that the pots (things under the knobs) are mounted the same way as in a normal amp

if you pop off the knob, you should see a metal shaft, with a nut on it.
undo the nut. that's what's holding the pot to the faceplate

then you can take it all out in one piece (hopefully :| )
