Hi

Why can't you get Standard Mexican and American Stratocasters in green?

I know there is a green Eric Clapton Stratocaster, but don't you think it's weird that Fender haven't made green one of their main colurs?

I mean green like the EC Stratocaster BTW, not surf Green (which isn't really all that green).

Thanks.

maybe because there haven't been requests for them? or maybe fender just doesn't like the color green? or because green doesn't really mesh with there other colors idk

It's a vintage colour, I don't think its used anymore except on signatures and custom shops.

It's because Green, Blue and Purple are unnatural looking colours for guitars. Guitars look more normal in browns, reds and yellows. A strange theory I know, but think about it.
#8
Green is the worst selling color on any guitar. Purple, yellow and pink outsell green so my music store owning friend tells me.
7 string Legion 7 > 6 Do mosh pits warm your heart? Then become a SECOND RATE CITIZEN.....better than the worst!

How about a neon yellow Fender?

I'd buy a neon colored guitar. Which reminds me... Dean released some of those...

Oh wait what's that over there?

Wood like colours might explain it.

The clapton '7 Up' strat?

EDIT: Maybe it's because apart from the custom starts, it's not a 'classic strat colour' and there isn't much demand for them?

Also surf green is the sex. I want a tele with double cream binding and a maple neck in surf green

Who's got a pic of that Strat that is completely green? Fretboard, headstock, body, pickguard, everything.

EDIT:

Found it!

Snatch is such a crude term - Use a better one like axe-wound or cave-opening.

That's Surf Green isn't it? Anyway I clearly stated that I meant the Green like on the EC Stratocasters.

Yeah, exactly. Natural wood colours.

I love the look of the GREEN strat on this page, the one that isn't surf green, but has a maple fretboard. However, I don't know if I'd ever want to play it, or any other Green guitars.

I have seen green strats at a store before. I have never seen one out in the wild though.

Get the pink one.

Sherwood Green Metallic is my alltime fav. strat color. I would LOVE to own one some day.
#27
There's Sherwood Metallic and Sage Green. Sage was available on Standards (and maybe Americans too?) for a few years in the 90s.

Unfortunately they haven't made many over the years, which is why it is considered so unique, which in itself it part of the appeal.

I'm actually going to paint one British Racing Green w/ racing stripes one day

When its a Fender its Surf Green.

Or maybe there's 2 of them and seafoam is less blue than Surf.

If you don't mind paying £2000 you can get Norifumi Shima's signature Schecter strat.

Yeah well in special UG land chords = noob, scales = intermediate and modes = advanced. Most users are trying to finish the game on hard because then you get the trophies for noob and intermediate difficulties upon completion anyway.
