either the

ML-2 metal core

MD-2 mega dist.

or

MT-2 metal zone

plus is the boss GE-7 Graphic Equalizer any good
i like to spend hours turning all the knobs on my amp and pedals to get "my sound" would this EQ any good for this

thanks

None of them. They are all fizzy and thin. Save up for something decent, say... VS Jekyll and Hyde?

The visual Sound Jekyll and Hyde is a great pedal!!
Or one of the Blackstar HT pedals.
As for EQ, get the MXR 10-Band Distortion, easily the best one out there.

i have a MD-2 and a GE-7. i love the EQ but at higher settings the MD-2 becomes more of a fuzz than a distortion.

Epiphone Futura Custom Prophecy (Twin EMG)
Vox Valvetronix VT20+
Vox Wah
Boss MD-2
Danelectro Cool Cat Drive

Yeah those are awful. Look into the other ones suggested and maybe the Metal Muff.

For some reason, everybody seems to think Boss pedals are THE pedal solution.
They are not crap, but they certainly aren't good.
