i just got the vh140c head.
mine looks like a traditional ampeg bass head. (kinda)
the only ones i can seem to find anywhere look like some sort of crate.
are they different? whats the story

and the combo has that ampeg symbol thing on it. so not exactly the same.
and it was 200$.... and sounds brutal with the new 7 string

Different power amp, nothing too noticable. When I played one, it was a closed back 4x12, versus my open 2x12, so that was the biggest tonal difference.
