like connecting yourself to the computer and emulating lots of amps and stuff? There are 2 very well known programs: Guitar Rig and Amplitube, but there are others designed for especific pedals (Line 6 pod farm, some rocktron thing, a digitech application and a johnson one). You basically mod things up on the computer and then upload the preset to the pedal. You can check out Guitar Rig and Amplitube tutorials on youtube, and even download demo versions, but you will need an interface to connect to your PC.

If i'm wrong, please specify what you mean by "graphing"

oh shi--

well, there's Kisekae for desgning your guitar. About pedals, I dont know. You probably want to make something like in the Guitar World magazines. I dont know what they use, but you can make similar diagrams by yourself even with powerpoint.
