I just got an offer to trade in my fender cybertwin first generation for a like new line 6 flextone 3 with an fbv pedal and extention cab. should i do it? i play loads of different stuff, but really need the whole spectrum, beautiful cleans and raging mesa like gain. my guitar is a prs tremonti se with usa pickups. should i do the trade???
I say yes, you should, but that's just me.
Yeah, do it. I have a first gen cybertwin as well, the only good thing about it is the 66' super reverb preset.
thanks guys. any other suggestions?
i don't know anything about that cybertwin, but i can attest to the flexibility and sturdyness of the workhorse that is the flextone 3. plus all those extras would really only sweeten the deal. my best guess is if the guy wants to trade it that badly its simply because the cybertwin has a certain setting that the flextone doesn't.
The cyber twin had excellent cleans but I think you'll find that the flextone has a lot more to offer on the high gain end of things. It's a little bit of a tradeoff, but I think it's worth it if you play with a lot of distortion.
any other opinions?
I'd say pick up the Flextone. I can pull just about any tone I want from it with some tweaking.
thanks for the help. just curious, anyone interested in buying it for $525+shipping?
