Just got my Dominion in today and I love it! I got the '59 in the bridge replaced with SH-6 distortion and the tone is amazing! The tone is a little bit better and fuller than the blackouts in my RR1, but they arent quite as tight and "heavy" although. The look and feel of the guitar is also great. The neck doesnt feel quite as good as my RR1 does, but compared to all other necks that I have played on its superior IMO. I have an older model with the riverbed finish, so there is no binding and the neck is finished, but I prefer it that way. The coil taps are really sweet, I can get all kinds of different tones out of it.

Overall this is a great guitar. Since I put the SH-6 in the bridge it can handle any type of metal with the amp I have. I think new ones are a bit overpriced($1400), because you can get American made Jacksons for almost the same price, but mine was only $800 so I got a good deal.

Before you added the SH-6, what were your thoughts of the dual '59's?

I didn't really like the '59 in the bridge position. The tone was really good but it didnt have enough output for my taste. I dont have an awesome rig like Mark Morton does, which is probably why he can get a really good heavy metal sound out of them. Another thing about that, I was reading up on what he uses in all of his guitars and it turns out that he usually has Dimarzio Breeds in the bridge.

The '59 in the neck is great though. Really warm, and smooth sounding. You can hear all the notes you play in chords and whatnot. Im planning on keeping this in.
