My funds are £600, and the two guitars i like the look and sound of are.

Neck type: 5 piece Wizard II Maple/Walnut Thru neck
Body: Mahogany body
Frets: Jumbo frets
Bridge: Edge III
Neck pickup: DiMarzio D Activator humbucking neck pickup
Bridge pickup: DiMarzio D Activator humbucking bridge pickup

Or

Mahogany wing body
5 piece Wizard maple/walnut neck-thru
Rosewood fingerboard
Bridge: Fixed
EMG 85 neck pickup
EMG 81 bridge pickup
Black hardware

Any other suggestions would be helpful i could probably push to having £1000 as my budget, keep in mind i play thrash metal.

I'd say the RG out of those two.
Tons of good deals on Harmony Central and Sevenstring.org.

£1000 you should be looking at prestige range, what amp have you got active emg`s don`t like solid state

I have a Jackson warrior myself, it perfect for trash metal so i would say the xpt.

I ended up buying the Xiphos (XPT700), and i gotta say it is a great guitar for the "relatively cheap" price tag.

you're not gonna want to take a dump in a gross, off-colored, vintage toilet. you want something that is white and pearly; something that shines. something that you can put your cheeks against and say, "f*** yeah"

Hmmm... I say go with the ibanez, they make high-quality guitars.

slayingedit:

On the bottom one, are you sure their not Ibanez' passive stock pickups, the V7 and V8?
