Keep in mind if you buy the actives direct or from a retail new, you will also get the replacement pots and jack. The battery is not included as far as I know.

Like mentioned before, you can if you replace the pots and create another cavity in the guitar to allow room for a battery, I believe.

that's not always true. some guitars have a big enough cavity already and the battery with everything else fits in there. i put EMG's in one of my guitars and everything fit in my cavity.

on the other hand, i have an S series ibanez and im pretty sure with all the new stuff you need for EMG's, the cavity is too small.
