I brought a guitar kit. It's been pieced together with three pieces of alder wood. one of the outer pieces has half snapped off. It is still joined at the top, but is split at the top. How should I fix it?

Get a glue syringe and inject Titebond original into the crack and clamp it like there's no tomorrow.

Name your thread appropriately next time. ambiguous thread titles like this one will soon be a warnable offense. Right now we're just closing the threads.

my bad. Changed now. Thanks for the quick reply. Would it be better to pull the whole part off and re-glue it or inject it?

If it were a guitar neck or something, you'd have to finish the break because of all the splinters and crap that glue can't get to.

with this, it's a perfectly flat break, so you just need to inject it. this will save you lots of time trying to realign the pieces anyway.

Cool thanks. I'll try that

you should paint it like max cavalera's signiture, would be epic!

thats basicly the brazilion flag as the paintjob,

like this...

this is his viper signiture

but he hasnt got a AX with that paintjob (well, i havent seen one like it, but he uses the AX shape alot).

but paint it w/e you want, because not everone likes soulfly

what are you thinking of painting it like, btw?

Oh nah yeah go soulfly, it,s just that i won't play any of their stuff on this, it'll be standard tuning. I was thinking black with white faux binding, white pickup surrounds, and emgs. I know emgs are generic blah blah but they are balls out metal and i got 81/85 set for cheap as off the net. otherwise i would have s/d blackouts. I might post some pictures when i'm done.
