Hey. I need some help here.
I just bought an Epiphone Firebird Studio, and I'm thinking about changing the humbuckers. Right now it has 2x Alnico humbuckers on it, but I need some better ones. I play rock/metal style: Three Days Grace, AFI, Marilyn Manson, Wednesday 13 etc.

I was thinking about putting on some EMG's, would that work?
Or do you have any other suggestions?

for rock music i'd say maybe a higher output passive than an EMG although it works for me. Btw i was a bit underwhelmed by Life Starts Now if you've not got it already.

I agree: for those sorts of bands, you don't want the active emg's. Look into things like the seymour duncan JB etc
