i have a problem when playing scales. i practice with a metronome at 60 bpm and i can play it ok going down but going back up i miss up on a few notes and i have been doing this for like a week and a half and want to know if i should lower the tempo to get it perfect r do something different, of dont practice scales at all
go even slower, it really is important to be able to play scales.
Slow down to whatever speed you can play it accurately. Then once you've got it nailed start practicing it in different patterns too, like 3rds and 4ths, cos that way you're practicing something you might use in a piece of music - you'll probably never play a scale straight up and down in a song.
Yea slow it down until you can play it perfectly, then gradually start to raise the tempo.
thanks for all the tips guys
