Hi all,

Forgive me if this is a really stupid question, and also if Im posting in the wrong section - this one seemed the most appropriate..

So Im trying to play the intro chord sequence of 'Won't Be Long' by The Hives. Im really intrigued as to how he plays it as he seems to have a bit of distortion on it, but the actually chord doesnt sustain and cuts off really quickly. I've watched countless live versions of it and it doesnt look like he's muting with either of his hands so I was wondering if he's using some kind of compression?

A compression pedal is the next one Im thinking of getting so I'm checking out loads of songs where one may have been used - plus I just really want to learn how to play this song!
Can anyone advise?

Cheers in advance!

Yeah thats what I thought but he doesnt seem to do that in any of the live performances I've seen. Does the man have a magic guitar??
