I'm new to Garage Band, on my Mac. I'm getting on OK with it, but one thing I need is a lead to plug my guitar into my computer when recording.

Anyone know how to do this?
And any good tips on using Garage Band?

There's one of two ways. i pretty sure on the apple shop you can buy a guitar lead that plugs straight into your computer. Or you can buy a Line 6 Toneport and use the sounds, amp models etc from that whilst using a normal guitar lead.
My Rig:
Jackson DK2M
Modified Jackson
Gibson SG
70's Style Fender Strat (Mexican)
Peavey 6505+ Head
Peavey 6505 Cab

depending on which mac there's an input right near the headphone jack thats the direct line input. just attach a 1/8'' adapter onto a guitar cable and boom
Gear

Gibson Les Paul Standard
Fender American Strat
Taylor 214ce
Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier (about to be Voodoo Modded)
Keeley TS-808
Boss GT-10 Processor
Boss RC-20xl

Careful doing this, you get a lot of background noise in your signal. Or it could be me with a noisy signal, who knows

:highfive: for using the nicer OS though
