Looks pretty badass. I'm pretty much set on a Randall V2 Ninja as my next amp though.

Wow! I just posted a thread about this same amp, lol. Yeah I'm excited too. I'm needin a new amp and was really lookin into the switchblade when I happened upon this. I'm hopin it's what I'm lookin for.

Interesting...

It can run 6L6s and EL-34s both at the same time, as well. H&K might finally have an amp that will shut up the people that say they can't get brutal

Seems pretty cool but I wonder how different it sounds compared to the Switchblade. Somebody needs to buy both and compare.

My thoughts exactly. I just discovered that thing yesterday and my fist thought was "what, a new Switchblade?" I'm interested in what it can do, though I doubt it being something I'd buy myself.

Yeah, I don't really think I could pull the trigger on that either. I don't need that many channels!

I played through my buddy's Switchblade a few weeks ago and it sounded pretty decent considering I had the master below 1. Kinda disappointed I couldn't crank it. Not being able to adjust much of the parameters of the DFX is kind of a bummer too.

I am very intrigued by this, but like the rest of the H&K line, it'll be over-priced in the US. I'll wait to see what the used market looks like for these.
AMP:
5150 combo
GSP1101 + Tech 21 PE60

GUITARS:
ESP LTD M-255 w/ SD Full Shred
Kramer Vanguard w/ JE-1000 active preamp
Douglas WF-150sn w/ GFS "Hot Lead" set

EFFECTS:
Bos SD-1 (boost)
AMT DT-2

2 high gain channels

Balls to the wall metal for sure

^ H&K has a very low resell value in the US so it might be worth it

It can, but it didn't have big endorsers and people weren't fond of the Warp 7 so they made assumptions

I've seen it some days ago on the website of a local guitar shop.

Looks like a VERY versatile metal amp.
Fender American Special HSS Stratocaster
Ibanez 1987 Roadstar II Deluxe
Yamaha THR10X
Marshall JCM900 SL-X
Ibanez WD-7 Weeping Demon Wah
TC Electronic Polytune
Seymour Duncan Tweakfuzz

Switchblades are already pretty cheap... A head was up on HC a few weeks ago for $450.

Is it me, or is there no difference to the Switchblade whatsoever? Except for the cosmetics... I really can't find a difference in the specs. Guess I'll have to try one to see.

I have a switchblade, so I'm pretty curieus as to why they made an amp so close to the switchblade. The switchblade already CAN do all the high gain you want...

I looks gammy, it's got a gammy name and will probably sound as gammy as other Hughes&Kettner gear...

jk

apart from the fact that the name and looks do suck. And the fact that Annihilator guitarist loves it doesn't mean that I will. In fact, quite the opposite.
I think H&K are a decent brand--Some of their amps are nice-- But they now have four models in a very similar range. I don't see the point. I really don't. The two of them that I have tried sound too alike for comfort.
