Some of you may remember my thread for 2008 that I posted about 15 months ago, and got overrun by Opeth's Watershed in the first few pages. Hopefully there's another semi-unanimous decision this time.

I personally have far too many, so I'm just gonna say the new Manson album, The High End of Low.
I'm well aware it's nowhere near his best, and I wouldn't even call it the best of the year, but he has been my favourite artist since year 5, so he's a given.

So, post the album you've enjoyed most, released this year!

EDIT: This is albums RELEASED IN 2009 ONLY.
Try and make sure your selection isn't just something you discovered this year.
Gore AND Core; unite!

21st Century Breakdown, Not embarrased to say it either. Their music has really matured, but it's still so awesome to just jam out to.

Metamorphosis, From papa roach was also pretty good too.

Daisy is my favorite so far probably.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

I forgot to add Incubus's Monuments And Melodies. Even though it is a compilation of their best songs.

But still, anything by Incubus is awesome. Plus it had two original songs also.

Well, Time Waits for no Slave was orgasmic, so was Wrath, and BC&SL and The Resistance kicked major arse. Also, Cannibal Corpse's Evisceration Plague was awesome, and finally War is the Answer by Five Finger Death Punch.
Lets wait to see if Slayer or Nile can top the list yet.

I don't know, but I'm sure Addicted by Devin Townsend will be one.

EDIT: Since that hasn't come out yet, Crack The Skye and The Incident are the first to come to mind.

The Resistance was pretty good, the new Paramore album is not too bad either. Surprisingly, Get Lucky by Mark Knopfler is my fave so far in 09.

How the **** has no one mentioned Endgame??? This is UG people!!!

Honestly IMO The resistance was good but not THAT good...it's moving too far away from their old stuff...dare I say it's got a bit of a prog feel?? Bellamy hardly got his guitar's out...a crime since he has those mansons.
I think it deserves 8.5/10 - still brilliant but not mind blowing

21st century breakdown was sorta more of the same...nothing really impressive
The gear:

* Epiphone Les Paul Custom
* Schecter Jeff Loomis Signature 7 String
* Fender Squier P Bass
* Blackstar Stage HT-60
* Original Crybaby
* EHX Small Clone
* Boss DD-3

completely agree with you endgame is my favourite

and i still like the resistance but its no way near the brilliance of asolution

Endgame was great but it probably wasn't my favorite. I only liked about a half of it.

And honestly, I don't know what's with all you Resistance fans. In my opinion, that album just wasn't memorable. I didn't even think it was that catchy. To me it seemed kind of pretentious. Like most other prog acts...

Endgame - Megadeth
There's a special sex move I do called the Charizard.
It's where you light the girls pubes, then put it out with your cum and run around the room flapping your arms screaming, "You don't have enough badges to train me!"

My first John Frusciante experience, and I hated it.

Merriweather Post Pavilion - Animal Collective
The Resistance - Muse
Octahedron - The Mars Volta
Crack The Skye - Mastodon
The Incident - Porcupine Tree

Theres been more I think that I enjoyed.

The Resistance.
The new Dream Theater album is nowhere near as good as say, Octavarium.
