I have a question regarding the Seymour Duncan SFX-01:

I understand it helps your strats single coil pickups emulate a a humbucker, but can it be used in conjuction with an OD pedal, for more gain with more of a humbucker sound?

Because by next year (if I pick this up for $40 used) my setup would be:

1. Fender MIM Strat > BD-2 Blues Driver > SFX-01 > Peavey Vypyr 30

and

2. Fender MIM Strat > BD-2 Blues Driver >SFX-01 > Blackheart Little Giant

EDIT: The 25db gain limit seems to be enough for anything up to AC/DC type stuff am I right?
I don't believe in signatures. Ah, sh...

I would put it before the Blues Driver if you want to use it to boost your od

In this case, gain means the amplitude of the signal, in other words, volume.

Would it still keep the "humbucker" sound though?

Yes, if you put it after the BD-2 it probably would sounds pretty bad.

I watched a video on it, and with the gain up, there was some OD, my guess is this was because he was using a tube amp right? So in that case it wouldnt drive my vypyr without the BD-2, but with the Blackheart it would?

the SFX is meant to be places immediately after the guitar. it you put it after your other effects, it won't do what it should. it has to have direct interaction with the pickups.

How well will it sound with the BD-2 through the vypyr, until I get the blackheart?

well, modeling amps are notoriously bad with pedals, so it's not going to sound very good. i have a BD2, and it's awesome with tube amps. just a tad trebley though, eh?
