How bout "Is There Anybody Out There?" by Pink Floyd? Pretty simple, fun to play, sounds nice, etc etc. Don't know if that's included in "all that other crap"

Lewis and clark by tommy emmanuel, Babe im gonna leave you by Led Zeppelin, Song for george by Eric Johnson, Dee by Ozzy Osbourne. All are classic, Lewis and Clarke would be impossible if your just starting to finger pick/Hybrid pick.

Fur Elise - Beethoven
Classical Gas
Chelsea Hotel by Leonard Cohen is fun
Anything by the John Butler Trio

That's aren't from gay bands: such a lame statement.

Dust in the Wind <--- but that might be too gay for you.

......yes it is

umm, perhaps a little difficult at first but, try

'Tears In The Rain' Joe Satriani
'Dee' Randy Rhoads

and I second 'Is There Anybody Out There' by Pink Floyd. It's such a beautiful piece.

If I remember correctly you can do that riff with just the picking hand.

Who's to say you can't finger pick it anyways?

Dee is quite a fun song to play.

What sort of music are you looking for, exactly?

I would hate to post my idea of a song that I think is great from a favorite band of mine, only to have it called gay by some anonymous UG user.
PRS SE Singlecut
Bogner Alchemist 112 Combo
Dunlop Classic Crybaby
Martin OM-1 and Backpacker Steel String
Seagull

The lead is also fingerpicked, dude. And it's complicated, considering you do parts of the rhythm while doing the lead.

So don't downplay it before you check it out in depth.

EDIT: By the way, very little of the song contains that "picking hand only" riff.

How bout the full version of Leyenda Asturias by good old Issac Albeniz. Once you get into the different rhythms it's not too hard, but there's one monster stretch chord in there that kicks my ass while trying to play fast. Anyway, it's a crowd pleaser for sure.

meh, I've listened to every radiohead album and honestly don't get what everyone loves about them.....

cause you're ****ing stupid

When it comes to fingerpicking I'd say Andy McKee. I think his music is very catchy for instrumental music to be.

THIS. That song is no where's near easy, but the parts that i know (which is like....the beginning part) are fun. And yes, it is a classical song.

and I second Andy Mckee and Antoine Dufour.

EDIT: and just because the version of "Is there Anybody Out There" isn't fingerpicked doesn't mean you can't fingerpick it. I honestly think it sounds better and is more fun when it is.
