i play an Ibanez RG2 and just bought a set of Ernie Ball skinny top heavy bottom strings. Seems like a real strain to tune any higher than D Standard. Should this thing even be tuned above C?

I use skinny top/heavy bottoms for E standard all the time.

I had use to use them in all sorts of tunings. including C and regular standard tuning.
they seemed fine and lasted a quite a long time.

DBZ guitars, love'em. Especially their Les Piccolo model.

I'm using them in D and C standard at the moment. I have the same problem as you, TS. Feels wayyyyy too taught in straight E standard.
