havent used the tubes yet but even the solid state ones will get you great tones. Even for death metal you could run the 6505 setting and that will get you a tone of gain. Also for great cleans, i ran the twin setting to use for Nothing Else Matters in a cover band and it was amazing.

make that four, which is the magic number plus one, though it does force you into the vulnerable position of being divisible by two, which also means you can now be rooted into a whole interger... ****!

i make me chuckle.

No from me.
Hate to disagree with regulars, but I wasn't impressed with the tube 60. I think you could do much better for the money. Just my opinion....... Haha you're better off listening to 311, Matrix, mmolteratx, Grisky and all the others though.

-Gibson LP VM
-Silvertone Kentucky Blue
-MXR CC Delay
-Ibanez TS-9
-Egnater Rebel 20
-Avatar 1x12

My rig is simple
Haha. UG's Chuck just said chuck. haha
You're not truly playing guitar unless you know theory.

I got one of the guitarists in the band I play drums in to ditch his Spider and get a Vypyr Tube, he should be getting it this week. I'm excited, now I don't have to buy one.

I wanna try out the USB recording out on it... seems like it could be interesting. I shall record some br00talz with the Recto setting with it

Some how without trying you get more new gear any any 4 UGers combined.

What happened to the NGD? I thought you had 2 new toys coming?

Aww man...

I should probably get my NAD out before it gets overshadowed by your's.

I got my new amp btw...

A Mesa/Boogie Mark V, I've not got around to getting pictures, so I've not got my NAD up yet, and on UG, no pictures = no point announcing.

Why and how did you get to meet George Lynch?

Sweet! Got to try one of those at GC on Friday. It was actually pretty cool, completely fixed everything I didn't like about the Mark IV

Lynch is doing a clinic/concert at one of the local guitar shops and I know the owner of the place, so he got me VIP tickets

Haha... sweet... that's cool though I'm not a fan of Lynch.

Well the Mark V is all cool. Only problem is that I've yet to get a step-down transformer so I can actually use my Mark V. I've no idea how it sounds with my guitars.

Vypyrs are great practice amps...they really are but thats it

I'd refrain from spending that much money on a Tube 60 because...frankly you'll 'outgrow' it quite fast and want a 'real' (i.e. not a modelling / built in FX) rig with your own selection of effects, a specialised tone etc fairly soon.

So either go for a cheaper one to find your 'style' of tone (i.e. Vypyr 75 / 30) or invest in a regular tube amp

The only thing I dislike about the Tube Vypyr(Don't own one, but I've played one) is there is no FX loop.

And I believe that this amp is great quality for small gigs. It has tubes, and even though it is a modeling amp(and probably because none are perfect), it still has a bit of its own tone. The overdrive is not sterile-solid state, because that is controlled by a tube(Or at least all the YooToob videos, Peavey ads, and a music store owner say so).

This sig is colored just to annoy the UG classic users.

Trying to think of witty things to put in my sig. Message if you have ideas.

You have a point on the FX loop, but I can think of a few pedals I would put on it.

Wah-Wah
EQ Pedal

Okay, a couple, and an FX loop is not really necessary, but that would just add one more dimension to this amp.

Wahs normally go in front of the amp, not in the FX loop.

I can agree about the EQ, though, but I've never played a Vypyr tube, so...
