As the title says, recommend the above user some music you think they might like, based off of what they post. It could be a song, a few songs, an album, a band, a few bands, anything. For example:

I like the Ramones, The Offspring, and generally any high-energy punk.

You should check out Greenday's earlier songs, like on their albums Dookie and Nimrod.

Although that might not be the best example, because you probably shouldn't recommend songs and bands that absolutely everybody on earth knows. Also, if you really don't have any clue what to recommend, just don't post, and wait for someone to post that you think you can help.

So, I'll start:

Lately, I can't get enough of a select few Alkaline Trio songs, but am not into a lot of their other stuff. The songs I really like are Help Me, Warbrain, and Mercy Me. Anyone know any bands or songs like this?

People are missing the point (although thanks for all the recommendations! )

It's supposed to be another "____ the user above you" thread. You help someone else, then post your tastes so someone can help you.

You probably already like Soulfly.

If you're talking to me, I've only heard one soulfly song, but I'll listen to more. I believe Cavalera Conspiracy is a lot heavier, which I like. Thanks!

The pixies have 3 (maybe 4) of those genres.

I like punk, some prog rock, alt rock, art rock, some ska, and experimental rock.

My punk knowledge is as limited to my prog rock.

Punk=I have know ****ing clue.

Prog Rock=King Crimson (cliche?)

I've been really into Muse.

I've also been digging Bon Iver a lot. Some people say I should check out Iron & Wine but I don't really know where to start.

I'm in the mood for something sad at the moment.

Sad as in nostalgicy sad, or down right depressing?

Bon Iver has a really good amount of nostaligy kinda stuff. Right now, Audioslave came on with I Am the Highway, which is a pretty depressing song.

U2's got some pretty sad stuff. With Or Without You, Where the Streets Have No Name, One, to name a few.

I'm having a hard time finding some electro/electrohouse that isn't bouncy and silly. I doubt anyone has heard of it, but I'm really loving the Robin Skouteris mashup of The Gossip vs. LaRue, "Bulletproof Heavy Cross." If anybody can point me in the right direction, I'll give you some fellatory sig material.
