You're trying too hard to be original.

2 Regulars can't have the same amplifier at once ?

I took a speaker and drilled it to my cab to be used as a microphone

seriously? How does that work? I've never heard of anyone doing this. How do you hook it up to a PA? what are the major sound differences and advantages/disadvantages of doing this?

Hopefully sometime this week, or early next week, I'll have something "unique" again

I love the Vetta, that's for sure. I still haven't found someone to trade me for it yet, so it'll most likely be around for a while yet, but I just need somethin that can get super brutal again. I don't use the effects on the Vetta and I rarely use anything but clean and high gain, so I don't feel like I'm really using its full potential. Plus, apparently it's my nature to have to trade out amps every few months just for the hell of it

How does the microphone thing work??

And best of all with a speaker this large you make one hell of a nice low end responce.

I'm suprised no one want my clipzorz.

EDIT: ^
I have a cable I made that clips to the speaker and goes into my UX2 for recording.

yeah, i don't think that will work ryan. you'll definitely need to boost the signal... it's not going to be very balanced either. actually, it's just going to sound like **** (which may be what you're intending).

i've already used it and It came out great.

It's actually better than my old Audix I5 microphone.

Plus the direct out on the Vetta is insane.

No dude. Professional studios use speakers as mics quite a lot of the time, especially bass speakers. It should sound great.
Ryan, post some clipzorz.

Speaker is connected to a female XLR and the signal is boosted with a preamp like any other microphone (duh!).

You see what I do Is set up the sound I want and then throw a red blanket on top of the cabinet to block out any noise I might make while recording.
The signal is boosted with a Microphone Pre just like a Mic would be boosted.

Microphones are passive just like speakers are, this one just happens to have a lot of low end acceptance before clipping, great for recording my Jazzy cleans

EDIT: I would love to soon get some clips up.

Sexy amp, congrats!

Any particular reason you are using a MIDI switch instead of the Line6 Vetta footcontroller? I was under the impression Line6 was anal about midi and live wah /volume parameters

Probably because it's so much cheaper

I use an FCB1010 with mine as well, I like it better than the Line 6 floorboard I can program it to do more things.

So you can control the wah and volume with it? Thats cool. For some reason it won't work with the Line6 POD XT PRO according to the manual.

Teach me how to control pitch shift with it now!!!

Sorry about the major delay of clips guys, anyone who has ever owned a Vetta can tell you getting the best tones out of this sucker takes one hell of a long time as everything is so complicated, elaborate, and versatile
