This is a lot of firsts for me with this guitar: First ESP, first 7-string, first string-thru, and first guitar with actual EMG's.

Right now I'm waiting on my girlfriend to get to my house with her camera so we can take pics of it, then I'll upload them on here for everyone to gaze at. I'll give everyone a hint as to what guitar it is, I'm a pretty big Behemoth fan...

All I have to say is holy $%&! this guitar is amazing. It's taking me sometime to get used to 7 strings because I've been playing 6 for 6 years. The set up is amazing, such a nice low action, but not too low. I was in the middle of work when my local ESP dealer called me up. As soon as I clocked out to go on break, I raced over to pick it up. This baby is definitely a Behemoth of a guitar. It's so huge, yet feels so small when you're all strapped in.

My girlfriend is finally on her way over, so I'll be posting pics very soon.

My first guitar still has residue from an unfortunate ranch dressing incident

They look really nice, that belly carve looks pretty cool as well. Just a slight shame they weren't of a slightly longer scale, they just seem like the sort of guitar that would benefit from 27" really.

Regardless, congrats

Thanks everyone! It was definitely a wise purchase on my part. I honestly didn't think I'd be getting a case with it, but it did and I'm pretty glad for that! Without tax, the guitar was $1049, so I paid $1,111.94.

How do you down tune a 7 string? Like I play in drop c on my 6 string if I got a 7 string how would I tune it to get to drop c?
My gear
Schecter 7 string hellraiser
1984 Charvel (model unknown)
Mesa boogie Dual Recto Solo head
and some pedels!

^Usually tuned BEADGBE, so if the riff can be played in a standard fashion, you wouldn't have to tune (C is the 1st fret on the low string)...but if its a riff that requires a dropped tuning, you would have to tune down somehow...or tune up and make it CGCFADG?

TS: Congrats

I'll be having my NGD tomorrow hopefully

Some people tune to drop C on the high 6 and put the low string as a G.

Yeah...the case is pretty huge. It can't fit in my trunk unfortunately. Which reminds me that I need to get one of those new SKB cases from Jackson for my Rhoads Pro. Between Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and the Hex-7, I don't know which one to pay more attention to! Maybe I'll shred while playing?
