I own a 1978 model, nothing wrong except some cosmetic damage. What would you say its worth?
It still has original everything
Post pictures of is. I posted in your other thread. How are the tubes?
tubes are fine, it plays good, just I guess a lot of dirt in the bright channel cuz it doesnt work. It says my pic is too big, heres a link. I accidently put 79 instead of 78 on the post!
VT Classics are readily available in the used market, and ussually bring 150-250 dollars. 300 dollars is the highest I seen one go localy it was is mint condition, but anything I have seen thats more than 250 has sat for years, and is still sitting.

I gotta guy who might trade a Marshall Full Stack for it and a Marshal Valvestate 8040
dont tell me it a MG stack
What Marshall? If its an MG then you FAIL, and are trading two amps that are much better sounding.
I think but better than this peice o crap
^No way, the Valve State and the VT both destroy the MG, The MG is pretty crappy use the search bar and find out for yourself, an MG full stack is the dumbest thing ever, a practice amp tone with a wall of speakers= EPIC FAIL!
MG series = Jonas brother
I got some ok review. I heard its supposed t be good if you have a good pedal. Im looking for a metal sound and thats what ppl told me these amps are good 4
^ Don't listen to us, we are only trying to help get the crappy full stack and we will see you in 6-12 months saying that your tone sounds like crap.
Ok, ok, ok. But what about the cabs? Or do they both suck?
The cabs are pretty crappy as well
well f*** me, guess im stuck with combos, I guess the only marshalls remotely good are jcm, rest suck
^pretty much sums it up. If you could sell both your amps you might end up with around 300-400 dollars, which would easily buy a used Peavey Classic 30, it does the Marshall thing quite well, there are other decent amps in that price range as well.
ive been trying on craigslist to no avail. I got 1 guy who called me who wanted to trade a peavey 60 watt head and a 2x12 cab but i dont know which model... He also had some line 6 guitar
Well really why do you need a halfstack? Combos are much better value in that price range. You say you want metal, well then you could get a Blackstar HT5 or possibly a Bugera.
