I bought seymour duncan 59 model sh-1 pickups (neck and bridge) and am trying to install them. My only question is that there is only one wire coming from the pickup to attach to the pots....shouldn't there be another one for the grounding? I've looked all over online and everything I find has two wires underneath the shielding and crap. And where does this get soldered to the pot??? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your shielding is the ground wire.

That's the vintage style.

Well do you solder the shielding to the pot then? This is my first time ever doing something like this...

well, contacting customer support isn't a bad idea for one, also strip some of the shielding off to be sure there isn't a ground in there

if there isn't a ground wire, then yes, it goes to a pot that goes to ground
