I have a Fender Strat, and an mt-2 metal zone pedal and i play lots of thrash, and really fast, but when i palm mute it dosnt sound very powerful and Thrashy, and i have a Squier SP-10 amp (those Sucky 1 foot by 1 foot amps) is that the problem,or is it the guitar itself

well your guitar has no humbuckers or high output pickups, your distortion pedal sucks, and ur amp sucks, you need too replace your whole rig LOL

If you don't have a whole load of cash, the first thing you should do is replace your amp. It is the main reason why you can't get thrash metal sounds.

If you're tight on a budget I suggest you keep your guitar and metal zone for now, and buy a cheap valve amp..like the epiphone valve junior, vox ac4, blackheart killer ant/little giant, blackstar ht-5 or laney cub 8 or 10.

If he wants a cheap valve amp, 70 quid, 5w tube amp, Harley Benton GA5 on Thomann
