DOWN tuning? who would you mess up your intonation or guitar doing that? I don't know about the amp, but i think it would be fine... what kind of question is this?

It won't break anything. There won't be string tension if you go that low on a guitar. If you plugged a bass in you'd be in trouble though.
Always tin your strings.
