Hey guys,

I've finally narrowed down my search for a new guitar to three similar but different models:

ESP LTD EC-401

ESP LTD EC-401VF

ESP LTD EC-1000

I haven't gotten a chance to play them yet as nobody around my area really deals ESP. I'm looking for the most versatile of the three. I want to be able to play some good blues and classic rock crunch as well as some metal. I know the 401VF rocks Seymour Duncans ('59 in the neck and JB in bridge) while the 401 and the 1000 have EMGs (60/81 combo- 60 in neck). I also know that the 1000 has a thinner body and weighs less than the VF. Any suggestions or advice?

You can get the EC-1000 with the JB/59 Combo too. As for the relationship between the EC401 and 401VF, the 1000 has better quality materials and probably better craftsmanship (at least higher quality control).

Wait until he's trying the fullstack, then shove it from behind. Crushing him with it's overdrive

You can't tune a LP copies down. Some kind of lawsuit Gibson won. Sorry.
