Nope, there are a lot of bad vans out there.

I keep sighing and rolling my eyes in this thread at just how bland and stereotypical everyone seems to be (even power freak, who whilst having an interesting sounding outfit is still someone I could "class" if I saw on the street) but then i realised I guess everyone fits into some kind of stereotype really!
So I have stopped judging the ranks of converse wearers and band tee + camo shorts fellas. WEAR WHATEVER YOU LIKE, MY CHILDREN!

Anyway, i think we need more pictures of people in nice outfits! Saying that, I don't have any photos of me in recent outfits so I can't contribute much...

I will say this though: I love braces. My black and brown ones are my two favourite pairs.

t-shirts, baggy jeans, and chucks

I wear my jeans bellow my waist, 'cause that's how I roll

I love skinhead style more than anything else in the world, I tell thee!

Braces and turned up skinnies are about as far into it as I got though really. Top buttoning up is an occasional style, and big coats (depending on what skinhead era you're thinking of). My normal jacket can look a bit skinhead in the outfit too.
I wish I was brave enough to get some Doc Martens though.

Well if you're after most ridiculous outfit...

String vest, braces (attached to bottom of boxers) and hot baby blue hotpants. FOr my friend's coming out party.

Go for it Docs kick balls. I was kinda encouraged by my dad though, he used to be a skin back in the day :P

Is that party your pic is from actually for one of you friends coming out? It'd make a great theme for a fancy dress party

Haha yeah, we all knew but it was his "official" coming out. We indulged in rounds of singing "for he's a jolly good homo!" and such. That lasses tee you can just see the back of says "*** hag".

Honestly, the red boots are what really makes it work.

anything from slip-ons to mid-top shoes (comfortable on the ankles) of respected skateboarding brands, not mainstream crappy ones like DC, slim-fit jeans (not skin tight), v-necks of various designs and colors, slim-fit cardigan or sweater vest with button-up shirt, and a slouchy hat if the weather calls for it. disclaimer: i was totally dressing like this before it became "in-style." now i just want to punch anyone who dresses like me. damn mainstream, always taking the awesomness out of everything!

Well it's getting to colder months now! What do people think of.... MOON BOOTS!?

Me in my moon boots:

And in that one note my EXCELLENT home made "thumbless mittens" (socks with holes cut in...)

usually some nice levi's jeans (cost me 90 bucks, that's a lot to me lol), and an assortment of shirts from high school basketball, visiting other countries (European ones are my favorites), honors societies, and some nicer ones I get from places like banana republic.

I also wear shades

Pretty much wayfarers that don't look huge and don't cover most of my face. I got ray ban wayfarers as a gift but I only wear them when I want to look really nice. I don't like the traditional wayfarers/aviators...too big for my face and I don't really like that. I think they make me look like a douche.

And I wear these vans:

Sometimes with a beanie too when it''s cold (I wear it pulled back so that some of my hair can be seen in the front)

And plain old nike jackets and sweaters when I'm cold.

And that's pretty much it

The problem is that metalheads aren't exactly well known for their sense of style and fashion.

God yes.

Men's fashion FTW.

I have a FAR ranging of style.

I tend to wear nice shirts with everyday pants that people wear (Ports and Dillon Skinny Straights [they're not tight pants, they're just not wide legged]) or gym shorts.

The nice shirts I'm talking about, are Ed Hardy/Christian Audigier and Affliction.
I'm aware plenty of people hate Ed Hardy/CA, and i'll agree that 90% of the designs are absolute fail, BUT there are a few really nice ones that I own (ever seen Ed Hardy tank tops? I think not! And i've got two different ones )

And if you're aware of how both designers tend to be worn together and such, idc.
Affliction is an MMA league/team that Rampage Jackson's on.
Being an MMA fighter in the works, I feel fully obligated to rep this shit.
Besides, I wear the Affliction Royalty line, which is basically the fashionista side of it.

Anyways, I realized I barely wear anything "normal" anymore.
I tend to enjoy V-tees a lot and shirts with minor design (No Bitchassness, shirt by Sean John anyone?! )
I might follow my brother's example from me getting him into V-tees and get some from Pac Sun, and i'm not gonna lie, i'm one of those guys that thinks Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch is "gay", but secretly want a lot of things from there.
Help based on what i've discussed?

Oh, and Vans Classic styles = IMMENSE AMOUNTS OF WIN

Haha! Ed Hardy/Affliction/Tap Out is so lame!!

Every time you go to a club or bar 90% of wanna be tough guy phaggots wear that. Rofl

You mad I'm rocking a $10 v-neck and get more pussy than your $100 t shirts?

I miss the snow, having lived in Detroit for a little while. I had no interest in winter fashion back then though.

I would think that the other *insert stereotype* groups would share their opinions too. But now that I think about it, the majority of band shirts (IME) are black so it doesn't really make a difference.

I dress pretty blandly at the moment. Just a regular fitting pair of jeans, a single colour shirt (sometimes with a slogan or something on, but rarely, and definately no band shirts apart from my RHCP one, which isn't black so is acceptable), and a pair of converse. I'm applying for a few jobs at the moment, so hopefully will have more money to expand my horizons more. Could do with losing some more weight though so that I can actually look good in some decent clothes.
#104
the problem with jeans is that a lot do not understand 1 of 2 (sometimes both sadly) very important things about wearing them.

1. if you have to keep pulling them up while you're walking down the street... you look like a retard
2. if you need to severely dehydrate yourself just to squeeze into them... you look like a retard.

buy jeans that fit you god dammit.

Oliver Sweeneys? Good call... I like their tan loafers personally; but Paul Smith is my go-to shoe guy (when I can afford them) they fit me better than Sweeneys generally.

Where can you get a cheap pea coat? I need a nice fall jacket and that one posted earlier is pretty sweet. Can you get one around say, $40 anywhere?

Nice to see someone who can identify a pair of Sweeneys!
Without a doubt the best shoes I have ever owned, so comfortable.

Paul Smiths are nice too. I owned a pair which I've worn to the ground, gotta get new ones.

I got one from Matalan (UKs cheap clothes store) for £40...all the buttons fell off, but it still looks classy and is comfy as.

Just look in the cheapest clothes shop about, or ebay

Vans Off The Wall Slip on's:

I might post a pic of this outfit in the Pic thread later. And this is only like 1/20 of my wardrobe.
