........ excluding overdrives? And why? And "fun" is a kinda acceptable answer

Mine would have to be the DeltaLabs SC-1. Pushing the level actually gives a solo boost. Not exactly sure how that works...

Also helps to fill out the sound of the Flextone where it's lacking (thickens up the highs), and just makes the tone thicker.

What's yours?

My Hardwire DL-8 for sure. So many uses for it, whether it be to create a wall of sound or just to add some more texture to cleans or to add space to a solo, or to harmonise with.

considering I only have a wah...it would have to be that...although I do run through a DBX 166XL through my FX loop and I use that always...

T.C Electronics Nova Delay.

sounds awesome no matter what you do with it.

my amp hasn't got a reverb built into it, so a VERY light delay gives an amazing sound in it's place for solos and clean work.

Fulltone OCD. When I just need a bit more juice out of the amp I kick it in.

Red Witch Empress chorus...

On clean it adds a sparkle to the tone. With distortion, it fills out the sound.

My Decimator's never off, nor is my dbx 31-band EQ.

...really, past those, I don't have anything that I'd use. I've only got the tubescreamer to tighten the amp up, and I really don't use my wah much.

So...guess it's my Decimator and my dbx 31-band EQ. Maybe a touch of amp reverb. Why? The first two are essential for shaping my tone (the amp controls don't do much at all! Wish I could mod it), and the other's just for a nice filling-out.

my mxr 10 band and my ehx holy grail plus are always on, always always
then, my delay is pretty often turned on... i like having a thick sound
then maybe my tuner, since i also use it as a mute switch to change guitars
also, my chorus, my clean tone is always chorused
then flanger and phaser
then trem and wah
and i use my looper quite a lot too

I usually have some kind of dirt on, but my VS H2O gets used a lot with either chorus, delay, or both.
