get a hot girlfriend and make your dad catch you doing her....

or

you could try singing more from your gut and try to incorporate death metal growls...

both are extreme answers, so i guess you could use moderation depending on how gay he thinks you are...

drink whiskey sing as loud as you can, drink whiskey sing louder and so on. bad for your voice but i think it would make it less gay .....

well your voice goes lower when it breaks, so i suggest getting your dad to smack your kneck with a baseball bat, resulting in a broken voicebox and a lower voice

A mans voice generally deepens between early teen years and mid twenties. My advice: don't worry about it. If you are within those ages then it will likely get deeper with time. Even if it doesn't it isn't very important.

Reality is more important than flawed perception anyway.

don't worry about it for starters. your voice gets lower with age. my voice got lower well into my early 20's

also, you can try singing lower. singing in lower registers requires more push from the diaphragm.

I think the best question here, is exactly how old are you? If you're already through or almost done with puberty theres not much you can do.... In fact theres not a lot of things you can do to lower your voice. Screaming would thicken your chords, but its not really the best solution...

I think this is more of a problem with your Dad than with your voice to be honest. You've gotta work with what you've got as a singer. Tell your Dad to stop being such an ass and to look up the definition of 'gay' and then sing however the hell feels best to you.

And like others have said, your voice probably will get lower over time naturally, but even it doesn't you still shouldn't try and change it just because of your Dad's ignorance. I think an important thing to consider is, how do you want your voice to sound?

+1.

Thing is, though... you can't change your voice. You can't make a Les Paul sound like a Strat, and you can't make yourself sound like Celine Dion or Barry White. You will sound like you and that's it. The key is figuring out how to make the best of that.

And it is true that your voice will continue to deepen well into your 20's, and even well beyond. But you don't have any control over that. You cannot make the change.

In the meantime, either tell your dad to get over himself or threaten to form a Partridge Family tribute band, with you playing the role of the little red haired kid.

What's wrong with singing high anyways? Freddie Mercury is one of my favorite singers and he had an incredibly large range.

He was gay though so I don't know if that helps you.

Well firstoff, the pitch of your voice does not determine your sexuality; What gender sexually attracts you determines your sexuality, and you should let him know that....and if you are gay, there is nothing wrong with that, it is your choice, and your parents should accept you for who you are. I'm to assume you aren't because this seems to be a problem for you.

Secondly, if you're young, it could be that you your voice hasn't cracked yet, if so, all you can do is wait. Not much you can do there.

Thirdly, many male singers have very high pitched voices and are straight; Look at Matthew Bellamy of Muse, his voice is about as high as my soprano friend's voice, and she is a rather short girl of 16.

And honestly, I sometimes wish I had the range of a Soprano, or higher than what I do now. My range doesn't work out well when your favorite bands are Muse and Radiohead haha.
