Polished up my 1963 Gretsch Chet Atkins Nashville double cutaway, I mostly lurk and read, however, thought you all might like to see it.

I've had it for over 20 years and never really had the guts to touch it. So I stripped it down, took the electronics out and cleaned them. Cleaned the rust and gunk off of each pick-up post, Polished all the brass plating (which is well worn) with Never Dull, and gave it a through clean and wax on the body. Light sanded the fretboard and re-oiled it. Restrung and set the intonation (a 1st for me on any guitar). Cleaned and oiled the tuner keys

It plays better than it ever has (it even made me sound good.), smooth as silk up and down the fretboard, and the pick-up now have some tone and pop. I still need to work on the pick-up post height on the rear pickup to smooth out the volume when I switch to it (too quiet compared to the other pickup configs)

you can see how faded the finish is

Nice guitar dude. If you still ain't got the guts to touch it, you can always send it to me
No need for such a beautiful guitar to be unplayed.

oh it gets played, just never had the guts to strip it down
