I'm trying to start a Christian Thrash metal band. I play bass, I can do death metal growling vocals, but I'd prefer finding a vocalist more suited for thrash. I'm heavily influenced by Living Sacrifice's old music(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVTXtimUtts), Metallica's older music(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4nCy5CITc8) to more recent music like Amon Amarth(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPRt6Tt6RyM)
The name of the band will be ''Forsaking Darkness'' unless we happen to agree on a better one, I'm open for ideas.

If you check out my myspace page, you'll see there's no metal music on there, haha, don't judge my metal playing by that. I've played with thrash metal bands, I've played in Neo-classical bands, and I personally play a more ambient experimental type of music.

Also, I don't want this to become a religious debate thread. Don't post just to start a debate.

Requirements:
You don't have to be a christian, but respect the other band members beliefs.
Please have your own equipment and know how to use it!

I didn't know I was debating religion. I thought I was telling him what I thought about what he wanted his band's genre to be.

to PcaKes- haha, I've always had plenty of things to write about. I think I'll be ok.
To SPBY- Go troll elsewhere.

Actually guys some Christian bands are really brutal, sometimes even more than the satanic black metal that is coming out these days and is so cliche. So dont diss them before you hear them.

The band Mortification is actually a good example of Christian metal brutality.
