Hey guys,

SO I know it is quite possible that i will get massively torched for this one.
But has Marshall come out with a new line of MG's???

because i was on Musicians Friend and they look new, have gotten perfect reviews and look pretty decent....

Any thoughts, experiences or comments?

first off, yes. the MG4 series has been out since january/february.

second, the reason they get perfect reviews is:
a) most people who buy MGs are brand wh*res who buy them for the name only and are too embarrassed about it to give it a bad review
b) the other portion of MG reviewers are 11 and 12 year olds who don't know a tube from a jack.

This, although they are a considerable improvement over previous offerings IMO.

I'm tired of seeing MG threads.

The MGs aren't bad amps, however their price tag totally kills everything good about them. MGs are designed to be practice amps (despite the their outlandish prices) and they are very good amps. However people try to use them for things other than practice and thats where they fail - it would be like trying to use a Ford Tempo as a race car, it just isn't designed for it.

I've actually played them. I try to never base anything on videos/clips.

Well, it's not a theory if I played it, right? I agree that it's not amazing, but a massive improvement for sure. I wouldn't mind one as a practice amp.
