This is #4 titled "day and night"
This a used washburn bass case i bought for 5 dollars... reupholstered with the interior of my sleeping bag and reinforced with wood beams... It glows so much brighter in person. badass..

This one i painted for a friend. shes ****ing awesome. (i needa take a pic of the other side which is very very rad)

this is my current work in progress... it has a little window that i'mma cover with red plexiglass. Its for a acoustic which you can kinda sorta see inside.

this one is for my fender aerodyne j/p bass signed by hoppus himself.
(the other side is a red japanese sunrise of death)

Can I ask what the point of this thread is?

Are you asking us to show you our guitar cases, are you showing off your cases or are you advertising that you can paint cases?

Either way, the cases look pretty cool, although the paintings all look pretty rough and I have no clue what they are actually of.

nice dude. Especially the Hoppus signed bass :P

suppose i would like more people to paint their plain black guitar cases... hopefully this is in the right section... i figure it goes with customization...

i always wonder why guitar cases are so bland on the outside when the insides hold such beautifully painted instruments and interiors...

each case took about 1-2 night's worth of work and alot of different paints...
i figure if people can spend days weeks months on a guitar itself... why not spend some time customizing its home also.

What kind of paint are you using? Acrylic? They look good and I agree with getting rid of boring black cases - I'm just not sure how long it will take before the paint rubs off on a well used case.
#15
I'd probably use spraypaint and stencils, but that's just my chosen method.

That's pretty, I'd say. Easy to keep track of which guitar/which case.

It's no fun to quickly grab a case for a gig, get there, and realize it's not the guitar you want! (or even worse, the one you just pulled the pickups out of... )

My cases are completely covered in stickers and such from venues and other bands we've played with, I don't think I'll ever change it.

I can spend a solid hour or two just going through all the places in my mind just looking at the case.

I love this idea, and that blue sunrise is badass.

Though I'm not a big metal guy, I loved the idea of Coffin Cases, but being a Explorer and V fan, I was kinda SOL. Maybe when I get around to building an Iceman I'll make it one. I was going to go with plain black or plain white tolex for my guiitar cases (my Explorers probably wont fit a conventional Gibson case), but maybe I'll do something sweet like yours.

I love the look of a well presented guitar case package.

'58 case for my '57 musicmaster

probably '72 to match the strat, but I'm not sure..

And if you really wanna see some old gibby cases then I'm going to be at my dads this afternoon (around 9 hours flight! haha!) and he's a guitar collector so...

Look nice.
I'm fine with a plain black/tweed/whatever case, bu as much as stickers look awful on guitars, I think stickers look great on cases, like not just slapping them on, but stickers of brands/products/whatever that you use or are endorsed by.
I have a "guitar for a cure" (see sig *whistles innocently* ) sticker on mine, and I have a couple of Ernie Ball stickers lying around that need to go on, but I've misplaced them.
