Does the whole thing have to be acoustic? If not, i recommend:

Led Zeppelin- Stairway To Heaven
Metallica- Nothing Else Matters

If so, then try:

Nirvana- About a Girl
Any acoustic versions of songs i.e. S.T.P.- Plush (Acoustic)

Actually, that's about all I can think of. Good luck

I prefer the whole song be acoustic/clean.
and i'm actually looking for songs that people havent already mutilated...
so songs that are a bit different...
#5
try tommy emmanuel's Those who wait
it's a good song which i s noce and slow, but has a strong feeling to it,
something like this would get you full marks

i performed this for my music exam, and almost got full marks
it uses the fretboard well
so try it out

Shawn Lane- Epilogue (For Lisa)
Super hard to make it as smooth as he plays it, but it sounds so good.

Try Trace Bundy's arrangement of Canon in D, with the tapping and capo 2 and weird tuning. Or X Japan's On Guitar album, theres a tab here on UG. Or Tears In Heaven arranged by Masa Sumide.

Yeah ive heard of Kaki King, i cant do any of that slapping and tapping **** that she does.

And im really liking Tommy Emmanuel - Those Who Wait, but i have a feeling ill need more than a few weeks to get the song down like he does. im not exactly good with an acoustic :P

and the rush song was okay.

I'm guessing you're Australian. What state are you in? I'm in Victoria and have my performance exam at the end of the month, but we can only do songs from the syllabus.
#13
ouch. Im in Victoria too, im doing VET Music going for my Cert 3 :P
we get to choose our songs, what are you playing?
#14
Ah, I'm doing VCE Music Performance.

I'm playing -
Metallica - The Unforgiven
RHCP - Under the Bridge
Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2
Van Halen - Panama
U2 - Beautiful Day

Hmm, that sounds quite varied, which is good. You ready for exams man? i just want to get this **** over and done with. Whereabouts do you live btw?

An acoustic version of Fleetwood Mac's The Green Manilishi With a Two Prong Crown would be interesting.
Bhaok

The following statement is true. The proceeding statement is false.

East Wes - Eric Johnson
Little Wing - Jimi Hendrix
Castles Made of Sand - Jimi Hendrix
Maybe some Pink Floyd

For acoustic, you could just play any number by The Beatles, Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, Some Al Di Meola, Hellhounds on my Trail by Robert Johnson if you got a slide. Tears in Heaven by Clapton, Tears in the Rain by Satriani.

EDIT: Fingerpicking, you can take songs and recreate it for fingerpicking with the bass line and vocal melody and what would normally be the guitar parts too, like this guy:

Well, If you are really skilled you could play this.

On the other hand, Practice Walk Don't Run. It'll sound good. You don't really need to play the barre chords, Just play power chords instead and at a slower tempo and it will still sound good. You could probably get past the tremolo parts, too.

Always tin your strings.

Yeah, I'm pretty prepared, I just need to revise a lot more and get everything etched in my brain. I've got enough time. I go to Elwood College, by the way.

The acoustic version of Megadeth's "A tout le monde" is the awesomest thing ever. Try that

Well it should take you no more than 2 weeks of practicing that song an hour a day. The only problem that you'll encounter is the constant finger changes in the second half of the song with the first half being rather easy to play and remember.

And you aren't going to be 'good' at those by sitting on your ass and whinging about it (not saying you are so don't have a go at me) give it a try and keep practicing you can only learn by practicing.
