So I was out today checking out some of these 'phosphur - bronze' strings. They looked allright so I bought a set, and put them on my steel string. FuKC they sound like ****, it's like playing a plastic tub with no bottom end. Im looking for a kinda copelandish/Nickelback acoustic sound, any suggestions would be great.

Give 'em a few days. New strings always sound bright. I'm pretty sure the D'Adarrio strings I buy are phosphor-bronze and I love 'em. You might want to try a bigger gauge for more resonance.

Phosphor bronze has more warmth and richness than 80/20 Bronze. If you are looking for those sounds 80/20 bronze will give you more brightness and projection
