See title. I've always wondered that. It seems there aren't many multi-platium albums being released anymore like they were 10-15 years ago.

I think that's more because the people likely to earn them are releasing more singles than albums.

Here's a question; How do bands who release albums for free get their songs in charts? I mean, you have to pay for a distributor [ie Apple], right?
